DESCRIPTION OF THE ARCHITECTURE

The fibre optic Point-to Point (P2P) Links service involves supplying connections consisting of one or two fibre optic cables that connect a Peripheral Delivery Point at the client’s location to an Operator delivery point, where the link is delivered for interconnection with the Operator network.
The delivery point to the Operator is created with an optical distributor located in the optical cabinet (CRO), at the Optic Node Centre (CNO) or at the copper network cabinet if the FTTH optical network has not been developed.

The Operator may request different types of link:

  • one or two fibre optic cables in a single path, or on the same network location;
  • one or two fibre optic cables with diversified location. If the Operator should need to guarantee more security in terms of continuity of the service, it may reach the peripheral site of the client by using two non-overlying network locations (network redundancy). In this specific case, the Operator’s request may be subject to a suitable feasibility Study.

TO BEGIN WITH
To subscribe to the Co-investment offer, write to us at the address sales@fibercop.it or fill in the form in the Partners section.
You will be contacted by the FiberCop Sales Team who will guide you in the subscription procedure.

By subscribing to the co-investment, the Operators can access the FiberCop secondary network Point-to-Point service by purchasing P2P fibre links, against the commitment to create the network, by accessing the FiberCop dedicated connectivity service at prices that are more advantageous the sooner you decide to subscribe to the project.

The subscription method for purchasing P2P fibre links must be made against guaranteed minimum volumes and will be dependent on respecting the following thresholds:

a) Geographic threshold: the minimum geographic threshold is the town or city. The subscription to the co-investment to purchase P2P fibre links envisages the subscription of a purchase commitment (guaranteed minimum) related to a whole town or city at least, with the possibility of extending to several towns or cities, up to all the towns and cities in the FiberCop Plan;

b) technical threshold (commitment method): the Operator must undertake to purchase a “guaranteed minimum” of P2P links equal to at least 0.2% of the Technical Real Estate Units (UIT) covered by FiberCop in the towns selected by the Operator as geographical areas subject to the co-investment in P2P connections, at the tenth year from subscription to the project.
